GIANT JENGA, TUSKER, AND A REALLY GOOD CAUSE.

Come out this Friday and help us sponsor a primary school teacher at Nairobi Children’s Home!

The Mugumo Project is holding our debut fundraiser this Friday, August 1st at 7:30 pm in the Annex of Saint James Lutheran Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Our goal is to raise $3,000.00 in order to hire the first teacher of our brand new teacher sponsoring program and to begin saving for our very own van to more efficiently transport the kids to and from school. Every dollar counts and we need your help!

The evening will feature Kenyan food (thank you, A Taste of West Africa!), Kenyan drinks, Kenyan music, and the ultimate Swahili game, Giant Jenga! As jenga means “to build” in Swahili, we thought it was appropriate to get a bunch of people together to battle it out in a Giant Jenga tournament for our mystery grand prize. Compete as an individual or as a small team – just make sure to have a steady hand! You will also have the opportunity to participate in a group art project that will be displayed in Nairobi Children’s Home.

Invite your friends, spread the word, and we will see you this Friday! No registration fee is required, but donations will be much appreciated. If possible, please RSVP to Jessie at jessie@themugumoproject.org or at 910-624-8342.

Thank you so much for your support so far. We can not do what we do without you.

Asante sana,

Jessie

P.S. If you can’t make it this Friday, you can still donate in our donation store, the Duka. Make your contribution, grab some friends, and play a round of Jenga to commemorate your support. We’ll still miss you though . . .
